Featured Project: June 2010 Home Make Over
Our featured home is 1,650 sf and sits on a 5,700 sq ft lot located just outside of the city.
Currently, a small awkward layout and limited counter space makes it impossible for two people to be working in the kitchen simultaneously, while the bathroom, located between the kitchen and the dining area, makes it difficult for entertaining.
From plans created by both our architect and designer, we will open the back wall and extend the space outward 9 feet. The interior walls are being removed and a new bathroom with built-in shower will be relocated to the far corner for privacy.
By doubling our interior space we are able to relocate the laundry upstairs just outside of the bath. Then a 56 sf heated mud room will be created as their main entry way into the right side of the house.
The kitchen and dining area will occupy the majority of the new space allowing an open, efficient and serene environment for years of future entertaining.
